As you know I'm a major pain to get hold of (sorry)! I try to be available between 09:00 and 11:00 Mon-Sat on the phone. Fridays I'm usually on the dyno so I rarely respond to the moby. I mostly read e-mails, but since there are hundreds of them I often can't reply.
Every single one is important - and persistance is rewarded!

Mark do you fancy playing with an emerald ecu'd 4ltr Chimaera?
id be interested in your suggestions on where to take it next.
I believe you suggest running the airflow meter..
current spec is
4ltr tvr lump
de catt
no airflow meter
locked advance on distributor
emerald ecu mapped by joolz/ nobel's r/road.

Thanks - I'll try to catch you soon.
Hi Graham
I do actually map systems other than the standard Lucas ones. Usually these are Omex, MBE, or DTA. It's a long time since I looked at an Emerald, so I expect it has changed somewhat. But I am always happy to look at other things - it's just that the first one usually takes longer.....
However if Joolz has set it up on the rollers, there is a good chance there won't be too much more to get out of it. After all he is a fully qualified member of the TVR Wizard's Magic Circle
As you know I am a great fan of airflow meters, and there is another posting going up very soon elsewhere on this topic! I'll let you know when it is up.
Please give me a buzz sometime to discuss what you have in mind.

Cool as soon as i've got a few things sorted ( roll bar and accident damage from wifey reversing into the car!!!!) i'll give you a call.
There's nothing wrong with what Joolz has done in fact its ace. But id be interested in comments from another recognised V8 Guru
the next stage is to replace the dissy with crank sensor and twin coil packs, so to get the best out of it it'll need re tuning and im in cheltenham more often than chesterfield so i thought id see what you can come up with...
on the subject of crank sensors any idea on the number of triggers on the wheel i should go for..
p.s. sorry to hijack the telephone numbers thread

Hello Graham
If you don't mind me asking what sort of power / torque output, and Mpg are you getting out of the car since the re-work and Emerald fitment. Quite interested as I also run an Emerald set-up on my 4 ltr wedge:
My figures are (as recorded on Emeralds Rolling road)
273Bhp @ 6100Rpm
259Ft/lb @5000Rpm
approx 16Mpg around town and 24Mpg on a run
I take it with regard to your other post that you're upgrading to the latest Emerald set-up with data logging, traction control etc?
Matt

Cheers
Jon
depends, if you're lucky he may be able to "fit you in" within a week or two,
