Lobro joints - can anyone help identify??
Discussion
I'm struggling to get hold of a CV joint for a race car that should be out this weekend!! The outer section of the joint has been machined down so there are no markings and I do not know the PCD of what were the mounting holes. The spline on the centre is 19S and there are 6 ball bearings as per the larger sizes used in Formula Ford and many other motorsport applications. The ball bearing diameter is 14.3mm the cage diameter is 51.90mm and the cage width is 26mm. The machined outer diameter is 72mm, although this is now not really any help as it is non-standard. I only really need the cage, but am happy to buy the whole joint. It is on an Imp engined Davrian. Any help is much appreciated!!
Thanks,
Thanks,
Long shot, did you ever find out what CV joint that was, for parts/rebuilding?
I’ve got a front axle CV coupler on an old Shibaura made Ford tractor, and the measurements are really similar to yours.
I need a new ball cage.
Hopefully you left your notifications on for this post😅

Don't try to mix and match parts from an unknown UJ - replace the whole thing.
You need to match:
You need to match:
- The bolt size and PCD of the outer mounting bolts
- The diameter and spline count of the inner
- Whether it's fixed length or plunging
- The angle of movement, if it's for a high angle application (I guess not in your case)
I wouldn't even have thought anywhere would sell just a cage.
some companies you can search by dimensions etc, you likely need to register
