just wondering if anyone can help my mate with this problem he has!!!

As far as I know a spun bearing is usually caused by a lack of oil supply causing the bearing to 'pick up' big time. I'm assuming the rods and crank were stock at the time. If so, I'd want to check out the oil supply for any intermittent problems as well as measuring the rod journals and rod big end i/d. Oh and check the torque settings on the other rod bolts if they haven't been dissasembled.

these things do use oil so bset checked regulary
