Help! My exhaust has fallen off my 172, and I took it to a garage to see if they could temporarily fix it. They couldnt as it was too rusted round where the pipe connects to the back box. So they just removed it. But I will not have my new SS exhaust for 2 weeks!!! So I have to either drive round with no back box or have you friendly people offer me any suggestions
What are the implications of driving round without a back box? Cheers for you help!

How much noise is it making is probably the only real issue.

Try 6.7L of Ultima at 104db before you complain about the noise.

Noise and a headache. Keep the a/c on/window open in case any fumes are making their way into the car behind the bumper.

Taxis or hire car for long journeys. Shanks's pony for anything under two miles. Sorry nothing more constructive to add.

104db ! That's pretty weak, even my TVR350 puts out 104.9db... @ BBWF we had a wedge hit 123db (set off a few alarms with that!)

Seriously that Ultima sounds pretty good
