Can't get 2nd gear from anything but 1st??

Hi,

I have just had my gearbox rebuilt but now ive put the box back on and refitted the engine etc I can not get 2nd gear unless im coming back from first.

There is nothing to adjust in the way of linkages only a choice of nipples to fit one of the rods on. This only adjusts the amount of throw side to side and at any rate it is the same on either.

Could it be something inside the box that hasnt been done right? Its looking like a box and engine out again

I was going to suggest linakges... I had a problem once where an engine mount failed and the rear of the engine dropped about 2 inches. It manifested in the fact that it was extremely difficult to get from 2nd to 3rd.
