Hi All, I've just bought a Sierra XR8 which has as standard a 302V8 matched to an Amercian spec T5 manual gearbox. Anyone know the difference between the US/UK gearboxes - any benefit in changing to the UK version?

The yank items are supposed to be stronger then the UK items so I wouldn't change it.

They have very different splines IIRC (I think)

I've got one here so could check that if need be. I thing the splines are the same though.

Different gearlever positions on different boxes - there's a number of variants where the part at the back of the box where the gear lever is mounted is different.

That's the one I have. Sticks at the back.
