Coolant leak - need advice
Discussion
Hi - I'm in need of a spot of advice.
I've got a 2.0LSI Honda Accord (94) which has starting loosing coolant from a point that I'm not familiar with. I've tracked it down to a spot at the rear of the engine, next to the timing belt casing, on the actual engine block itself. The source is a small machined hole maybe 8mm in diamter. It has an outer lip that protrudes by maybe 5mm - which is too small for a hose to be mounted so I don't think that a hose has fallen off.
Could this be a core plug? The fluid loss is about a drip every second, but the rate is increasing.
Can anyone help with ideas before I take it to a professional grease monkey and part with hard-earnt cash?
thanks
Pete
BTW - I do have a photo, but I'm not sure if I can attach it to the posting

That looks like the water pump drain point.
Its made so that if the water pump internal seal fails then it directs coolant out of the face seal and NOT into the water pump bearing which would cause a biiiig disagreement with the timing belt should the bearing sieze.
Diagnosis? Water pump is on its way......i think.
