I need some advice with regards to a Weber downdraft set-up.
My engine is a 4.6 RV8 with stage 3 heads. The cam is not yet decided but will be in the Kent 214 or H404 from V8development area.
The max rev range is 6000 rpm. Expected power 280BHP and 320 lbf-ft

The carburettors I am getting are 4x44IDF with 36mm venturis.
The emulsion tubes are F11
Air correction jets 2.00
Main jets 1.50
Idle jets .55

What size jets would you recommend ?

As a starting point, I did get the following information from the web:
Emulsion tubes: F2 (for cylinder capacity 450-575 cc)
Main jet 1.50 are OK (4x36mm venturi = 1.44)
Air correction 2.00 (main jet plus .50)
Idle jet .65 (for 550 cc – 575 cc)

Can someone with experience in Weber downdraft set-ups give me a recommendation for the emulsion tube and jet sizes. I would like to buy the correct parts to have a heads start before the fine-tuning.

Cheers Peter

Fuel injection is your answer... You can "change your jets" from the comfort of your chair.

Thanks eliot. Maybe the next time around.
For now I am just trying to get the base set-up of the Webers into the right ball park.
