Ease of making a Triumph Rocket-3 Bike engine power a BMW Z4
Discussion
imagine being asked to help fit a new m-bike engine from a 'triumph rocket III' into the engine bay of a new bmw-z4 to power it instead?
for i was wondering what all the problems would be in realising this.
first of, i reckon they'd be problems relating to fuel-timing an gear torque factors.
an i suppose if it couldnt easily be wraped around to directly power the rear axel, then maybe a chain could transfer the power thru the drivetrain - kind'a the way Cooper-F1 did it.
an all in the name of fun for people who like to think aloud

i just had a thought about this...
for if you used this bikes engine instead of the usual powerplant, would its sound be noticly different from a typical roadsters engine, as while you are cruising down an motorway or 'a'-road?
* as i assume a 'car-engined' motorbike would probably sound different, then maybe an audio effect would occur either way?
for as i've never been in such a driving situation to note what difference there are i wouldnt know myself
* an i dont think a bike engined ariel atom or westfield xtr etc are comparable here, as there track-day racing orientation makes them less noise supressive than a volume car-makers more sound-insulated product.
ps- an does anybody know why lotus + mazda don't bother fitting a V6 into their roadsters?
