It may do as long as its the cvh sierra block.

Cannot be sure though as ive never tried it!
I presume the stroke is larger on the 1.8 so it may just bolt on.
If it wont cost you anything to try it, have a go, or get a 1.8 head gasket and drop it on the 1.6 block to see if it all lines up.

Pretty sure it won't, the 1.8 is a totally different engine to the rest of the CVH's as it's based on the Yank CVH.

as above the head as I believe will not fit.The 1800cc is a solid lifter engine and the 1600cc is a hydraulic. The ports I believe are different,so the manifolds won't fit. There must be plenty of 1800cc's in scrappies,I know a work colleague picked up a head with carb and a few other bits fot £20 on ebay

strange that,as a mate who enquired at his /our local ford dealership, they said it was a totally diferent inlet gasket,as he was looking for some downdraught carbs on a 1600cc head and that put him off.

CVH carb and injection heads are different. Injection heads have a 'cut out' at the top of the inlet ports to cater for the injectors, so that might be what the dealership meant.
