I am fitting a TR8 engine (3.5 rover) into a 3 door sierra, anyone got any good advice on drive trains and carbs or efi. Any idea on performance expectations?

Oh! before anyone says why not stick to a TR8....I dont fit em!

Thinking of track days and sprinting with it.

why not go for a Ford V8 (like will holmen did with his capri in PPC)?

or you could go for a LS1. then you get injection and an ally block?

Chris.

Well its down to the fact I have the RV8 and thought it would be kind of good not to have tons on turbo lag unlike my saff cozzy. The cars handle well for a boat but the turbos hard work on a sprint track.

Lots of v8 torque and of course the tune it plays made me think it would be worth a go. Never seen one on before either. thought a whale tail 3 door sierra v8 might me different.

I fitted the engine into mark adams car quite a few years ago so from memory, it was fairly simple, the bulk head needs opening out and the sttering coupling needs moding, apart from that i seem to remember it was fairly straight forward, i no we ended up running a diesel rad as it has a better cooling factor
