Hi, can someone point out the difference between a 5.0 litre rover (tvr) v8 and a4.6 litre v8.Iknow that the crank has a different stroke, but what about the rods are they longer -shorter?. what about pistons,same bore, different hieght etc, any info much appreciated thanks.

It will have different rods crank and pistons.

HI the 5.0 runs a low compresion 3.9 piston and top and tailed so to speak the top is machined down and so is the bottom for clearence on the crank, the bore is the same but the 4.6 runs a 82 mm crank and 5 litre runs a 90 mm crank the rods in the 4,6 are 6 inch long and the 5.0ltr are 5.5 inch {crap design personaly!}
