Engine changes in BMW 740i

I own an LPG converted 1995 740i and have had a front end shunt. I am looking at buying a 1995 730i with good body and wanted to get my engine (with LPG) into it. Does anyone know if the engine mounts are the same and also if this is easy to do ?.

I don't know BMW's but if you have two complete cars then I'm sure you will have all the parts required. I'd be extremely surprised if BMW modify the shell depending on which engine is fitted so you will have the required mountings. You'll have to swap stuff like the ECU and wiring loom etc. I don't know how far down the driveline you will have to swap stuff ie gearbox, propshaft etc. If you've had a front shunt then components at the very front may be a problem if they vary eg. radiator.

If you are doing the swap yourself then it's not particulalry difficult but fairly time consuming.
