I'm thinkin of building a kitcar.I have the chassis design, sourced the running gear, but am wondering about the engine.I'm thinkin of a bike engine, but mounting it in the rear,to shorten the drive length.Anyone got advice?

Try the Kitcar forum, quite a few people on there with bike engine kit cars.

If your thinking of a 7 style kit car then I would reckon you might have a bit of trouble fitting it in. Then you have the problem of having alot of weight over the rear wheels and none over the front wheels. Handling would be interesting... to say the least.

There are several kits that do this already but I can't think of their names, ask on the kit car forum, somebody will be sure to answer. Radical is one, ADR is another, Fisher have a Menace (?) I think that's mid engined but there are others.
