Hi, can someone tell me which is the best distributor to fit ,the choice is from the mallory non vacum advance type or the vacum advance type,it is going on a rover v8 engine but I dont know which to choose ,thanks.

You will want the vacume advance if you are running on carbs

For road use the convention is to use vac advance unless it is a real loony tune engine.
Vac advance is an economy device, once the state of tune gets fairly high then its normally mechanical dizzies only. My mild V8 runs a vac advance with its mild cam and is quite economical & quick.
