I'm thinking about changing my Draper EC1000

Its worked well for me, but I'd like something with a little more reach
Current one has 1170mm reach. The legs are also quite good, at around 160mm tall. I'd prefer something slightly lower though.
At their widest, the legs are 950mm apart ( all data is Drapers specs. I havent measured it myself.

I'd like something the same width, longer reach say about 1400mm, and lower legs if possible.

Anyone any suggestions ??

Sealey has the PH20 2 ton on offer, but the legs are 180mm tall. Other than that, it doesnt sound too bad. Even have it on sale at the mo.

The Draper EC2000 looks pretty good. Spcs on the legs I think say 140mm ( pdf file on draper website says frame height is 1400mm, but I think thats a misprint, as frame hiehgt usually means legs )

Screwfix have a Ferm 2 ton crane. Not much info on it though. Sounds like its legs might be quite wide wide, so not really suitable.

Anyone any crane suggestions ?

I wasnt looking suppliers, although their prices do appear pretty good.

I was hoping to get info on what people think if cranes they have used. Ease of use, and access under lowered cars perhaps.

Hardly matters now anyway, as Ive ordered one.

I fitted an 'I' section in the garage, I always had the same proplem with hoists not having quite enough reach. Also £20 for an 'I' section (already had the block and tackle) was cheaper than any hoist, and perfect control for height.

Regards,

Chris.
