ummmm, It looks ok. Then it said that it has a 600 holley on. It must be very near standard with a carb that small on it!!! surely ?

I'll agree with you there - I expected the Holley to be bigger to give ther performance he says he has ?
I loved the 0 to death in 2 secs bit though !!

maybe maybe not, you'd be surprised how little difference a bigger carb would make (top end revs only), throttle response & lower rev power would be a lot better with a 600, & remember that the 350 nascar superspeedway motors make 600bhp running restrictor plates the size of a 390 holley ,IIRC some even run a 390

I find it hard to belive that 600bhp nascar (some) use 390s I would think that they would not let it have enough fuel. When i had my 4ltr rover engine that was less than 1/2 of 600bhp the calculation i needed was about 480cmf. So i cant see how something a lot bigger can use something a lot smaller!! It dosnt make sence. BUT im not saying that im right and you are wrong. Im just assuming.

At the summer races at Daytona & Talladega in '87 they all HAD to use a 390 carb !! .It cost 9 mph qualifying 212 mph at the spring races V 203 mph with a 390 carb.
Since then they have used restrictor plates currently 57/64" (about 23mm) per 'choke'
