i think they do! demom tweaks used to sell them and i have seen them advertised in a few mags. i think all they do is miss feed the ecu with data and cause over boosting and over fueling. but on a deisel its not as bad as a normal motor.
still i would go for a proper ECU remap. there ae loads of companies out there that do them for VWA engines and i think there would be more of a come back if it went wrong.
