Almost impossible to diagnose via internet without lokking/hearing personally. Don't know the 1.4 engine myself, but suspect that the only stuff that would be moving in that area when the car is stationary would be the belt driving the alternator and water pump from a pulley on the crankshaft. Maybe a loose pulley or a water pump that is on the way out?

I’m not sure you should be able to hear anything TBH, usually excessive noise indicates energy being used to generate it and often wearing. Are you sure you don’t mean carbon build up on your valves?
Hi guys thanks for the post, it is my carbon inlet valve I've been told and your meant to be able to hear it lol
