Anyone any ideas on this one?

N-plate Discovery thats gas converted, running on gas is fine which I'm hoping illiminates the the ignition side of things from the equation. However running on petrol you get to above 50mph and it starts missing on a bad day it will end up killing the engine you wait 10mins and it runs again. Occasionally on petrol it 'pulses' power when cruising, almost as if it's not sure whether it wants to be doing a few mph more or less.

Sounds like the gas is coming in while your stll running on petrol, the only thing that stops the two running at the same time is the emulators, there could be an intermittant fault with one or possibly both.
Another thing to try is disconnect the 12v feed to the lpg solenoid on the reducer (black with two wires and one pipe going in and another out the otherside) and then drive it on petrol and see if its the same... if it is cured then it is definatly the lpg running the same time as the petrol.

Right, just got 120miles running on gas, normally get 200.

If the gas can run when its meant to be on petrol, does that mean the gas will leak out overnight etc???

No the gas will stop as soon as you turn off the ignition, it cuts the feed to the three gas solenoids , one in the tank, one inline and one on the reducer.
