ceramic engines

im a 2nd year HND motorsport engineering student at brooklands college and i need help with my final project. im researching the use of ceramics in performance engines, this includes fully ceramic components and also ceramic coatings. also as a side project im researching the possibility of a fully ceramic engine. any information or helpful websites would be greatly appreciated. unfortunately i dont have regular internet access so i would be very grateful if you could e-mail me the information to [e-mail] thanks again!

I believe Renault did an engine back in the late 90's in ceramic.
I'm not sure if it was a working or just a show prototype

Pretty sure the Japs have done a lot of work on this because apparently they have to import all the raw materials for metal work but have plenty locally for ceramics.

Afraid I can't point you in the direction of more info though.
