Rover v8 books & info required
Discussion
Morning,
I've just bought a 4.6l v8 westfield which I get next tuesday and would like to do some reading about the engine to prepare me for the maintenance which I'd like to do for myself.
The engine is a john eales built 4.6l with a fast road cam. I think (and it's kind of embarrassing that I don't know but the test drive was kind of over-whelming ;)) the engine is carb fed. Power is about 280-300bhp.
Thanks,
Mark

There's nothing complicated. A late model Landrover V8 haynes manual will have all the info in the first few chapters for basic servicing. If you get to the point of wanting to do a strip and rebuild a workshop manual CD off ebay will be your best bet, but John Eales does have a good reputation of supplying solid engines.
If it's carb then it will undoubtedly have a holley/weber 500 type carb on and a giant pancake filter on top of the engine. eg
If EFi it will have a length of air hose going to the air filter from the plenum box on top of the engine.
Hope this helps.

Yup, it'll probably look *just* like that.
That thing must be mental!
