Noisy Engine Predominantly Under Revs
Discussion
Hello,
Hoping you can all help or point in right direction since the two garages it’s been to havent been able to say what it is.
I have a fiat doblo 1.6 multi jet van for work, it’s 2022 and coming up 80,000 miles. When I rev/accelerate there is a horrible noise from the engine. Seems to be drivers side.
It went to one garage who said may be something in the top end, but take to your fiat dealership, warranty had just expired but took it down, a senior tech came and looked at it and said it’s definitely not right, but will need to book it in as you cant hear it from the engine bay cause of the noise of the engine. Got booked in two weeks later and im assuming a different tech looked at it, £300 later got told they couldn’t hear a noise but computer says may be fuel dumper pipes.
First garage said they don’t think it’s fuel lines they will have another look, but again not sure they got the memo as they said no engine vibration noise everything seems okay.
The noise isnt vibration it’s under acceleration or even in neutral when engine is revved, somewhere between 1500-3000 rpm it is most noticeable, sounds drops away as soon as clutch is depressed and revs drop.
Just had a service so oil is new and correct levels.
Apparently I can’t attach a video for 14 days.
Thanks you for any help.

If it wasn't your car, would that description give you even the slightest idea what was happening?Bees2699 said:
