hi first time posting. The other day my astra estate diesel started having issues. it has 117k on the clock but has been very well maintained.

first of all its struggling to start up, it will start but takes a few seconds where as its always been pretty instant, never missed a beat in the 6 years i have had it. once started it judders very heavily from the engine when accelerating, this is in all gears. once i go above say 2000 rpm the juddering almost goes away. drop down in gear again and it comes back. the engine itself is also getting up to its 90 degrees very quickly, less that a few min! it doesn't go over 90 but it reaches it 10 times faster than before. any idea on what would cause this? i replaced glow plugs yesterday but start up is still an issue.

any response would be great.

It sounds more like an injector issue, ignore the temperature but check coolant levels meanwhile.

A good quality code reader could help with checking out injector issues if they are present.

thanks, hooked it upto a freinds computer today and come sup with two things. DPF efficiency and below threshold bank 2?

i do a lot of short journeys each day and the dpf would usually fill up once a week, message would appear and it would be cleared while driving a longer distance once a week, funny thing is this message has not appeared in a month or two? could these issues be something to do with the DPF not regenerating for some reason?
