Perhaps a bit off the wall, but what threads is one likely to find on the old A and B series BL engines (everything except internal and head bolts)? I am guessing UNF, would that be a good start? I know the Rover V8 is all UNC as I used to sell Stainless Steel nuts and bolts for them.

If anyone is pulling appart an A or B near Lincoln I wouldn't mind popping in for a quick look so I can sort out a fastner spec sheet for the future.

It would be a mixture of UNF and UNC depending on fastener and materials.

I believe that I have bumped into some metric coarse on my A+ engines. Pretty sure about that.

No A series i ever worked on had metric, including A+

But I never worked on anything newer than late 80's. Perhaps in the 90's with the efi cars, there may have been some metric crossover.
