CP4 fuel pump and diesel consistency in different countries?

I have the BMW X5 (F15) 30D with the notorious CP4 fuel pump and I have to take a trip across continental Europe next week. I've heard the horror stories about the CP4 failures and 5 figure repair bills, but it seems to be mostly affecting USA and Eastern Europe where apparently the diesel is less lubricating than in Western Europe and it causes all those failures. Last time I took this trip, I used Liqui Moly diesel lubricant additive just to be safe for every full tank east of Germany, but that had a side effect of increasing oil consumption to like 1L / 1000 km which is a lot.

Am I being too paranoid? Anybody knows about this different diesel in Europe and if so what countries are those?
