Anyone found the way of driving them yet?

The turbo kicks in really low, theres a lag and then a surge of speed at low speeds so you have to back off and its like hitting the anchors.

Very hard to drive smoothly in traffic, Whats the secret?

If the turbo kicks in "really low" how can there be a lag?

No issues at all with our 3 cylinder 1.2 Turbo Mokka, it's a great little engine with plenty of power, economical too.

I've driven a very highly boosted small engine that had those characteristics of slow to get on boost and then producing too much, very hard to keep it in a usable power band when driving at less than ten tenths. You shouldn't see problems like that with a standard production engine. If you are, I would wonder whether there was a problem with the boost control system causing it to produce too much boost - maybe a stuck wastegate, or something like that.
