‘First-of-its-kind turbo install’ - who to call?
Discussion
Let’s say that I would like to get a specific turbo installed to my car - who could I contact to get an estimate on what it’s going to take and what it’s going to cost? (Midlands area preferable).
For reference, it will be a G25-660 turbo by Garrett and a 2015 B8.5 A5 2.0TFSI Quattro (EA888 Gen 3 longitudinally-mounted MLB-platform engine).
There are kits for the transversely-mounted MQB-platform engines, but none for the MLB as far as I am aware.

Have you actually spoke to any of the typical tuning companies that deal with VW/Audi ?
MRC, TSR, Ecotune, or further afield Bar-Tek, RTMG, and no doubt there are others
Maybe the manifolds for both layouts fit the engine ok, in which case it'd be some simple downpipe fabrication and a few other bits needed.
Even if you needed a full custom exhaust manifold, there shouldn't be anything too difficult. Although the fabricator would likely need the car with them to make the manifold and associated parts.
Whether that's two separate people you need, a fabricator for those bits, and then a tuner/installer for the rest....time for phone calls.
Or you could contact the likes of these guys. I'm sure they could build something with a larger custom turbocharger

Garrett's are a bit over-rated anyway, a good BW EFR would perform better. The Turbosystems stuff looks good too though, but doubt it'd be on par with an EFR
From the images of the transverse/long options on the Turbosystems website are correct, there really isn't a huge difference in terms of mounting and layout of the manifold etc
It does kind of look like if a generic turbo manifold for a plain Garrett or other would fit one, it should fit the other
