vauxhall clutch issue advice
Discussion
hi i am having a problem with the clutch on a 07 combo- the pedal pressure has gone down until difficult to get 1st and reverse gears--so i tried to bleed it undid it nothing came out so i tried a vac pump got a few drops out then nothing --i then used a syringe to try to back feed it but nothing went in or out i also tried to gravity feed it with the bleed screw open for a few hours still nothing the master cylinder was replaced about 18 months ago with a luk one at the time this did not bleed very well and never felt quite right since i dont know if the system is blocked but then were ?? can the clutch damper cause this problem - dont know all this time the reservoir has not moved any ideas please
There is no need for posting the same thing in multiple threads
Quite simply, unscrew the bleed nipple as far as you can...or if it comes right out, only screw it in enough for it to not fall out again, or for the o-ring to be engaged.
Test with a syringe method, you should be able to move fluid freely as already described.
If you cannot then you need to investigate either a blockage, or if the pedal/rod at the master is depressed, blocking the system. It must be fully retracted to allow fluid to move for bleeding.

yes i am sure your right i think the push rod is right back but is the piston itself --is there any way to check this also if the inlet port is closed i do not think a pressure bleeder will work either
If the pedal/master has not been touched, I would assume for now that side of things is ok.Quite simply, unscrew the bleed nipple as far as you can...or if it comes right out, only screw it in enough for it to not fall out again, or for the o-ring to be engaged.
