Hi All,

My 2008 Mercedes Diesel A160 W169 made rattling noise only when idling. When investigated it was coming from AC compressor. When I removed the clutch cover I found whats shown in attached pics. I removed all these and fitted it back. Now no noise at all.

Pulley and the bearing is all fine. No grinding feel or noise. I think I migght have to put a new clutch assembly or replace the compressor.

Just wanted to get your take on this.

Part numbers:

Merc - A0022301411
Denso - 6SEU16C

Thanks in advance.

Zak

Hi again.

I think I found the issue. Internal parts completely worn out and disappeared. Found a good YT video which showed everything in details.

These compressors are clutchless - no clutch. It just has a hub.

Thanks

I think I could just buy new hub rubber from below website.

As you have found, yes they are parts of a cushioned drive and should be there to prevent wear of the lobes on the drive fingers and to keep vibrations down.
