Insignia air con weird fault

Got a 2014 insignia ecoflex, had the air con regassed as it was empty. Had been sat ages before I got it, held a vacuum fine...was ice cold after a regas and a few days after, then it was intermittent... then it wouldn't go cold at all then randomly came on ice cold, now I've worked out I need to turn the air con on, then hit recirculate for a few seconds then turn recirculate off for it to blow cool...it doesn't blow ice cold now just cool and only after cycling recirculate button.

Any ideas what the hells going on
