Rover V8 rocker shaft orientation with pushrod lubrication
Discussion
I'm thinking of improving the rocker lubrication by rotating the rocker shafts 180 degrees..
Normally oil comes out under pressure via the lower rocker shaft hole situated at the load side of the rocker...at abt 4 o'clock on the drivers side rocker shaft.
With pushrod lubrication, oil come out of a hole in the yella terra roller rocker which is a lot higher (2 o'clock)..away from the loaded side...and the original oil feed hole is an oil escape hole..right on the loaded side where max lubrication is needed.
Rotating the shaft 180 gives the oil film full contact with the rocker..I can grub screw the original oil hole which is now at on the unloaded side.
Any thoughts......thanks in advance
