Hi everyone,

Looking for some advice, very recently my car has started to judder/shake slightly both when driving and idle. In addition to this the "Service ESP" message and ESP light has popped up on the dash, along with the check engine light.

The car is a '62 plate vauxhall astra 1.6 sri.

I would assume this is the spark plugs, but would appreciate any input!

Cheers

You need to get the codes read ('scanned').

You are more likely to be wrong than right in that assumption.

There are many, many things that will cause what you say and only one of those is spark plugs.

As above, you either need to start eliminating the many possibilities one at a time or see if there is any help to be had by asking the car's ECUs to give you some pointers first.

If petrol and coil pack/plugs are faulty then it will run rough and cause esp/tc light to come on.
But needs code read 1st.

His car is not your car; you need to get your car's codes read.
This is the starting point of the process that will lead to the problem being correctly diagnosed, and hopefully fixed, without replacing a load of parts that it does not need.
