Xenum Intake Cleaner - anyone used it?
Discussion
Anyone tried Xenum Intake Pro Petrol for cleaning the intake section of their petrol engine?
Snake oil, or miracle cleaner for carbon-ed up direct injection engines?

No experience of that specific one but I'm prejudiced against all these miracle cures. The delicate chemistry of the emissions control system limits what chemicals can safely be added to the combustion chamber. One of the most effective cleaners is plain water. If you've ever dismantled an engine that uses upstream water injection or that has run with HGF, you'll probably have found that the wetted areas stay remarkably clean.

Yes, and that water takes very extended use to achieve/maintain that cleanNot a quick spray for 30 seconds like these BS aerosol cans do.
Not to mention if they did release the huge crud build in in some cars....where do they think that crud is going to end up ?
In the exhaust, in your cat, in your dpf.
Then think....is that really worth trying ?
