Does anybody know if he has and why?

I shall miss his contributions if he has.

That would be a shame if so, enjoyed his insights.

Judging by the current glut of EV topics, probably because of exhaustion.

He was on not that long ago.

That’s what I suspected, when I searched for him, I keep bringing up posts that looked like his work but were by anonymous user.

I believe posts get tagged as anonymous user when the user has requested they be removed.

That’s a real loss to the forum.

There can't be that many EV powertrain engineers that do what he does where he does it. I'd imagine some historical post has come back to be annoying for him.

He is/was an asset on loads of techie threads, will be a shame if he's had to have his stuff anonymised.

As an aside, this is the first time I've looked into how PH anonymises users/posts.
It appears that the anonymised user is given a new MemberID at the point of anonymisation, with a post count=0. Fair enough.

IMO he sailed close to the wind on discussing his work (for companies). I should imagine it was easy enough to link the posts to the real person if that real person is known to you.
Yeah.

He was one of the people who knew the P1 was running about in Barcelona with a V10 in the back of it ten years ago, along with a handful of other people. He did work on the hybrid side of the P1, I think - certainly knew there was an LM version coming before it was public.

I found out about the P1 V10 in a totally tangential way (I've nothing whatsoever to do with McLaren) -- but Max Torque knew from the inside. The V10 P1 mule ended up being developed into the Solus GT which was announced not that long ago. Hell of a gestation.

I think he's worked on quite a lot of interesting stuff, and as you say, it's bound to be a small group who work in that sort of environment so basically impossible not to out oneself. All it takes is one new colleague putting 2+2 together and he'd have to stop posting.
