Flywheel balancing - necessary?

It's a flexplate for an automatic. If you look in the top left of the picture you can see lots of extra holes, they are where the part has been balanced.
Further balancing isn't probably going to be necessary.
Once you get the right flywheel it's going to depend on the engine.
For a stock engine you don't NEED to get it dynamically balanced. It will probably be (more or less roughly) balanced with it's self, but won't be perfectly balanced with the crank shaft/con rods/pistons.
To get all the moving mass balanced as a unit will be a lot of hastle if your not re-building the whole engine anyway, and won't make that much difference in a normal engine.
If you have a highly tuned, high reving or race engine then you will probably won't to get it balanced.
