Audi A4 2.0 TDI manual - issue getting from 1st to 2nd

Hi,

I’ve recently bought a 2017 Audi A4 with c.55k miles.
Have had an issue happen twice now where I pull away in first and go to change gear and it won’t let me change into second or get back into first. The first time, I was back to stationary and it still wouldn’t get back into first but eventually would. When it happened yesterday, I eventually had to go straight from first to third. For the rest of the journey it was absolutely fine when changing down from third into second but would not let me change into second having pulled away in first. When I went to drive it later that day it was back to being absolutely normal. The gears in general feel quite notchy but I had originally put this down to the car.

Any thoughts on what this might be would much appreciated.

If you bought it from a dealer, get it back to them to warranty it.

Could be an internal problem, linkage, clutch ( although that seems less likely )
