why would high fluid temperature make the assistance "weaker"??
PAS oil coolers are for fluid life extension (ie longer life without changing the fluid)

I've definitely had problems with hot fluid before.
Whether a crappy loop does anything....not so sure. If in doubt fit a proper fluid cooler.

European spec Z32 Nissan 300zxtt were fitted with a power steering cooler after pre-launch testing in Europe. Not fitted to other countries as sustained high speeds were not considered likely.
Sustained high speed would not be as much an issue as steep climbs and twisty roads with a heavy (and towed) loads and high temperatures. Gassing Station | Engines & Drivetrain | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
