Power Steering woes

I run a 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer and last few days I find that when I start the car after being parked for a long time that there is a noise when I turn the steering wheel as well as a stiffness

This persists for a about 5 mins and then afterwards its ok but time to time I do get a wheezing noise when i turn the wheel

I feel its the power steering thats playing up but the problem is when I took it to a garage to check it was fine and they could not see the symptom

Any ideas as to what this issue can be ,would the power steering unit need to be replaced or would a kit and oil change do?

Anyone had this type of an issue where there is a problem but when you go to the garage to show the problem cannot be replicated

First thing to try would be to remove the old fluid & replace.

After replacing bleed the system by doing a few lock to lock turns to get all aerated fluid back to the reservoir & see how you go from there.
