XKR engine noise

I have a 09 XKR convertible. The engine is making a small rattling noise . I am told it is a loose tensioner on the pull. Can it be anything else

Without any other info it could be any number of things. I once had a rattle on an XK8, which I was told was the bottom end, but turned out to be bits of broken ceramic in the catalytic converter.

Thank you for the info. It does not sound serious. I have booked at a specialist and will.know more tomorrow. Will update.

If it's the 5.0 supercharged, then they have common timing chain/tensioner issues.

That sounds about right. It got fixed today it was a 30 min.job and the car feels fab specially in dynamic mode amazing
