Please help!
Accord 2.4 ex (2005).
Clutch was getting stiff. It was recommend to change it. Got it changed, butter smooth, feather light. 3 weeks later the clutch started getting heavy again. Clutch changed 3000 miles ago. Clutch is now 90% stiff, sometimes it starts working as it should for 4 or 5 gear changes then goes back to stiff. Fobbed off by original garage.
Cold rainy weather = softer clutch, but still goes stiff
Hot sunny weather = really stiff 99% time
Clutch feels like its dragging or not engaging properly after you've changed gear/not 100% disengaging when you depress clutch.
Also the actually gear change feels stiffish and like something is binding, but when it does goes soft the gear change goes super light and clicks into gear like a normal Honda should!
I'm broke and I can't afford to spend another £600 for the issue to come back, two Honda specialists have basically said they're not sure as everything is brand new. I'm booked in for a clutch in 2 weeks. I've purchased a new release fork, the bolt that the release bearing snaps onto and the release fork spring.
Any suggestions??

- Clutch, pressure plate + release bearing changed
- Master cylinder brand new (Honda)
- Slave cylinder brand new (Pagid)
- Fluid changed and bled several times

Does it get worse the more miles you do and thus temperature in engine bay increases?
It sounds like some sort of bushing or rubber material is getting too hot and expanding... possibly the pipe you mentioned not replacing. Does seem odd that it was perfect for 3 weeks but that could just be coincidence. I'd also check that nothing could be compressing the pipe and it was moved out of the way/temporarily fixed when the work was carried out and some sort of quick acceleration or speed bump has caused the problem to come back. Similarly, something could be in the way of the clutch pedal transferring the pressure of your foot to the clutch release bearing, a bush could be worn etc. (Not sure if these cars have cables or what bushes are in the mechanism of the clutch pedal but you get the idea)

It does get worse the longer I drive, particularly traffic! No leaks from new master or slave either. I will mention the things you've said to the mechanic.
Will order a clutch hose too, getting clutch done again on 9th June but Honda can't get the clutch hose until 17th.
I'll order the hose anyway and get it fitted afterwards and get system bled.

I'd usually say master cylinder on this gen Accord, but if that's been changed are you sure it's not faulty?

I'll have a look at the link you sent. Honda HQ are the ones who done the clutch, they then took gearbox back off (swapping gearbox) and they said they could see nothing, everything was wearing evenly.This might be useful https://typeaccord.co.uk/board/threads/stiff-clutc...
