Strange RPM behavior on gentle acceleration...
Discussion
Hello,
Looking for a little help from someone more knowledgeable than myself.
Car is an automatic 2019 Volvo S90 with 16k on the clock. I've noticed that under gentle acceleration, most noticeably in second/third gear the car will get to about 2k rpm and then the revs will hover for a split second, slightly drop to around 1900rpm and then continue as normal. The whole thing is over in 1-2 seconds. There is no (noticeable anyway) power loss, speed continues to climb.
Under harsh acceleration, the car doesn't do this at all. Car does this whether in automatic or manual mode to hold the gear.
Anybody have any ideas?
Cheers.
