I hope someone can help diagnose the gear change issue with my car before I end up kicking it.

I had a synchro issue with my original gearbox so I swapped it out for a low mileage replacement box, a new genuine clutch was also fitted at the same time.

It all seemed well until a few weeks ago when pulling out of a junction fast in 1st and moving to 2nd, the gear lever felt stuck until the revs dropped down. This also happens when changing from 2nd to 3rd, it will stick and then release itself once the revs have dropped.

It doesn't happen when changing gear below 2k at light throttle loads and the same when changing up above 4k.

I had the clutch bled and immediately after noticed a weep from the master cylinder, so I then got both the slave and master replaced. The clutch pedal feels a million times better but the sticking problem is still there.

Downshifts are also completely fine.

Any suggestions please?!

Is it sticking in the sense that it won't come out of the previous gear or that it won't go into the next one?

It’s when coming out of the current gear.

The problem is still ongoing but I have discovered something that I'm not too sure what it means (I'm no engineer)

When the gears are sticking, if I shift out of gear WITHOUT using clutch, they don't stick!

What would this indicate??

Can't think of any internal problem that would cause that. You should find it easier to pull it out of gear with the clutch disengaged than with it engaged, because disengaged ensures there's zero torque on the 'box. Is it possible the clutch hose is physically interfering with the gear linkage or something like that?
