Mitsubishi L200 problems
Discussion
Hi All.
iv recently bought a 2011 L200 barbarian with 150,000 miles with a FSH.
after a couple of weeks i got what i now know as the flashing D, and the engine management light came on and it went into limp mode,
after an internet search of what it could be i found there was no or very low oil it the auto transmission, topped it up and the fault went away, a day later and the light went out, put it on a mates diagnostic machine and there was a fault code, P0715, imput turbine shaft speed sensor,
i didnt do anything about it as i thought id fixed the problem, the truck sometimes seems like its in to high a gear when doing between 10-30mph but that may bust be cos its different to my freelander, and it always sounds like its slipping when its changing gear,
a week ago it knocked down a gear doing around 40mph and i got the flashing D again and engine management lightm pulled over to check ATF but it was ok, started the truck back up and it went ok after that and again the light went out the next day, its also been juddering a bit when i first go out in it for the first half mile, and sometimes when i start it and put it in gear it wont move, its like it has to warm up for 30 seconds or so, and as if thats not enought recently its been blowing a plume of black smoke out of the exhaust when iv put my foot down or over taken something, iv read that it could be the mentioned sensor or even a frayed wire to it, and maybe the DPF needs cleaning out,
has anyone else had any of these problems,
many thanks.
