I'm starting to build a bit of a parts supply for my ageing Alfa v6. The engine is a bit of a weird interim model which was only made for a couple of years and has a couple of parts which are becoming incredibly rare.
One of which is an odd pulley for the timing belt tensioner:
.
It's odd because it's got an offset mounting hole.

I've got a couple but they won't last forever, and very few remain available. Given that it's ultimately just a pulley, I was wondering if there's anywhere which refurbishes the bearings, or indeed could make such a thing. I've drawn a blank so far but someone on here might know ?

TIA.

Offset mounting holes in timing belt tensioner pulleys isn't unusual as that's how a lot are adjusted.
Whether there is one identical to yours or easily adaptable is another matter!

Ah, well that in itself is worth knowing. I don't suppose it has to be strictly identical really, as long as it's wide enough to take the belt and the hole is big enough to bolt through. I thought it was just a weird Italian quirk. Cheers smile
