Nissan Xtrail sounds like injectors noise

2015 1600 dci Xtrail. 80k miles

Can you identify the sound below. This happens just after the engine is switched off. It’s not always done this.

I wonder whether it's trying to park an EGR valve or swirl flaps. If either of these are electrically actuated on that engine, it might be a sign the drive has failed.

what do you mean by 'drive'

I mean the mechanical connection between the (assumed) electrical actuator and the thing being actuated.

you're not a million miles away. Looks like it might be the throttle body doing a 'unsticking' action after being used. Suspect the noise is louder than normal due to age/condition. May give it a clean and see what happens.
