Hi All,

Hoping I've posted on the correct page here. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what this type of joint is from? It's an unusual bolt pattern I've never seen before . I know they're old because they've been in a box in the workshop for over 20 years that I know of and they are possibly French because there was some Citroen parts with them but beyond that I haven't a clue. It's just one of those questions that got me going so I'm throwing it out there.

Thanks.

Lucas

I've had a good look through lots of Peugeot images and don't see anything that matches. Anyone else got any ideas?

It looks like what's known as a tripod CV joint.

The inner would consist of a spider with three radial rods 120 degrees apart that fits onto a spline on the drive shaft. Each rod would have a needle roller bearing on it with an outer ring that fits the channels in the outer.

It remains a mystery. Not Renault 5 or Skoda. It's obviously not something commonplace or it would have been spotted by now but thanks to everyone who took a stab at it.
