RV8 cam question
Discussion
Both cams are hydraulic and will be ok without pistons recessing.
That is if your block or heads are not decked / skimmed.
The spring seats in the heads need to be machined to take the .500" lift cams like the H224 or H234.
If you have a good pair of stage 2 / 3 heads that should already be done. But you better check.
See this site for some Kent cam data:

Not sure about the requirement to recess the pistons, I thought they had to be to take the high lift ones myself though .
Not so sure about the grinds you are looking at, as far as I'm aware they are 'old' performance grinds that have been bettered.
I would speak to V8 developements /John Earles myself, I understand the modern H404 etc will out perform the 234/224 in power/torque and manners.
