Morning all,

Bought a new clutch & flywheel kit online and upon inspection the pressure plate has these scratches at the 9 o'clock position - safe to fit or reject?

It won't affect the clutch performance but I wouldn't be fitting it.

Just wait till you see the state of the one you take out. It'll make zero difference to performance, get it fitted.

Yup, it's fine, its a small scratch and will make zero difference to how the clutch performs and wears, its a complete non-issue really.

thanks, just an annoyance really.

The clutch plate, clutch and DMF were delivered resting on top of each other within minimal protection which i found very surprising (clutch and DMF are un-marked though)

I'd be more interested in what brand/quality than the scrape. Usually good stuff is well packaged.

Looks like a Valeo according to the box.

The last clutch kit I bought was LUK and the parts were literally just thrown in a box with a bit of strapping around it to stop everything bursting out, I was surprised how poor the packaging was but I suppose clutches are tough old things.
