Hi all
Can anyone tell me if there a RWD gearbox that will fit a rs turbo engine, also where can i pick up a second CVH turbo lump?
cheers
Never tried, but I see no immediately obvious reason why the gearbox out of a CVH-engined Sierra wouldn't fit.
sierra type 9 will fit, just need a spiggot for the crank.
Isnt the CVH mated to an MTX75? if thats the case it should fall straight onto an MT75 out of a later Sierra.
Pretty much any 4 cylinder gearbox will fit ( except diesel )
Ford used the same bellhousing pattern on them all. Only the V6 models use a larger one.
Starter postion may vary with some, so depends what you are fitting it to.
Hmmmmmmmmmmm, this could make for a very cheap source of big (200bhp +) power for kit cars then!!!
i think you can pick up reconned engines for about 1800 quid.
Chris.
